ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced multiple new gaming products at the ‘For Those Who Dare: Boundless’ virtual event. The new launches include two high-performance ROG Strix and ROG Flow gaming laptops, a series of new bags and apparel from ROG Slash, the Team ROG initiative; and a standalone first-person parkour game for ROG Citadel XV.

The ROG Strix SCAR 17 SE (Special Edition) features a 17.3-inch screen with FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution at 360 Hz or QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution at 240 Hz. This laptop features a full suite of high-end components, including a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12950HX processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti or 3080 Ti graphics card, up to 64 GB of blazingly fast DDR5 4800 MHz RAM, and PCIe Gen 4 storage in a RAID 0 array, ensuring that gamers never experience bottlenecks. It runs the latest Windows 11 Pro software.

It also has a unique cyberpunk aesthetic, with invisible ink applied directly to the metal chassis. This matte metallic substance appears green and blue with a UV flashlight, offering SCAR Runner hints. Furthermore, Asus’ custom vapour chamber, in combination with ROG’s exclusive Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal applied to both the CPU and GPU, enables the laptop to achieve a maximum CPU TDP of 65 W and a maximum GPU TGP of 175 W with Dynamic Boost.

The ROG Flow X16, on the other hand, is a 2 in 1 thin and light convertible laptop with a full 360° hinge for use as a tablet, stand, or tent. It contains the all-new Frost Force Technology and Pulsar Heatsink, which includes three fans and a high density heatsink to keep performance high while keeping temperatures low. Furthermore, it has a Quad speaker system, a 3D Mic Array for voice capture, and Dolby Atmos support for crystal clear audio.

The Flow X16 features a massive 16-inch QHD+ (2560 x 1600, WQXGA) Mini LED screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% DCI-P3 gamut, 1100 nits of peak brightness, and HDR support. The laptop is available in three models, each with a different GPU. It has an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti or RTX 3060 or 3070 Ti Laptop GPU, 32GB DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM RAM, and up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD. Pricing and availability

The ROG Strix Scar 17 SE starts at $3500 (Rs. 2,71,230 approx.). The ROG Flow X16 starts at $1,950 (Rs. 1,51,115 approx.), and goes up to $2,700 (Rs. 2,09,235 approx.) for the high-end model. These will go on sale by June.

ROG Citadel XV

Team ROG initiative, and a standalone first-person parkour game for ROG Citadel XV. ROG is dedicated to giving gamers the best technology, products, and experiences possible, and the For Those Who Dare: Boundless event is a continuation of that commitment.

In order to provide the best technology, products, and experiences possible, ROG has also introduced a Slash fashion series for gamers, which includes a Crossbody Bag, Backpack, Hip Bag, and Protective Laptop Bag, all inspired by cyberpunk and the code that builds our modern virtual world. The ROG Slash bags are extremely useful. With adjustable straps, multiple compartments, a sturdy build, and water-resistant TPU materials.

SCAR Runner, a first-person parkour game, was launched at the online event. It’s about X, who’s racing to recover important data. This game features hints buried on the ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition’s chassis. SCAR Runner will be released alongside a giveaway campaign with $20,000 in prizes, including the Strix SCAR 17 SE and ROG Slash clothing. The campaign runs from May 17 until June 30, 2022.

In addition, the company has announced a new partnership with ReKT Gaming, an organization that runs esports teams and creates content for a variety of today’s most popular games.
