The Infinix Hot 7 has created hype in the past few days, based on the selling price that it has i.e PKR 14,999 only. You would be wondering what the Infinix Hot 7 offers for such a low price. We thought a full review of the Infinix Hot 7 would definitely help you learn more about its features, camera performance, the good(s) and the bad(s).
For your information, Infinix was launched in 2013, and since then they have been targeting the young generation. Infinix has five different smartphone product lines, which are, ZERO, NOTE, HOT, HOT S, and SMART. In Pakistan, the Infinix Hot 6 Pro was their best selling smartphone in 2018.

Infinix Hot 7 Price and Complete Specifications
To check the complete specifications of the Infinix Hot 7, please expand the table by clicking below.
Infinix Hot 7 Display:
The Infinix Hot 7 has an HD+ display size of 6.2 Inches along with a pixel density of 268 PPI. This panel is a TFT Panel, the viewing angles are great, and the color accuracy is decent, considering the price of the device. Using it under direct sunlight isn’t a problem at all, as the brightness of this display is decent.
This display has a notch like most modern smartphones launched recently. If you are against the notch (like me) or you just do not like it, you can easily disable it under Settings>Display>Display Mode of Notch Screen (Screenshot Below)
While using the smartphone, we didn’t notice any problems with the display. (P.S. Be fair! do not compare it with Mid /High-End displays).
Infinix Hot 7 Design and Build Quality:
You might have seen Xiaomi’s Redmi Series, right? The Redmi Note 6 Pro? Well, it somewhat looks like that particular smartphone doesn’t it?
The Hot 7 is entirely made out of plastic. It doesn’t feel premium at all, nor does it feel very cheap. We have to admit; it looks good in the hand. (NOTE: Our Hot 7 review unit is the Gold Variant)
The dimensions of the Infinix Hot 7 are 155.3 x 75.86 x 8.4mm. Hot 7 is a very light-weight and easy-to-handle smartphone. It carries a huge, fixed battery of 4000 mAh.
At the front, you’ll find an earpiece, sensors, and an 8MP Selfie camera along with a flash. The flash also acts as the notification light which is a plus point. At the bottom, you’ll find a micro USB port and the mic. At the top, You’ll only see the 3.5mm headphones jack. At the right edge, you’ll find the power and the volume buttons.
The rare side of the Infinix Hot 7 has the Camera, Fingerprint Sensor, the Speaker and a couple of brandings i.e “Infinix” (beneath the fingerprint sensor) and “HOT” at the bottom, in the center.
It has a removable back, that lets you add 2 SIMs and an SD Card (dedicated).
Infinix Hot 7 Camera Performance
The Infinix Hot 7 being priced at only PKR 15,000, delivers acceptable camera performance. This smartphone has a single rare camera lens (13MP) capable of taking images that aren’t mind-blowing, but, they’ll get your job done. Like, images taken are good with enough details to be shared on social media. The selfie camera is 8MP which is also a normal lens, capable of taking good shots in perfect lighting conditions.
Here are some rare camera samples:
Performance:
As the Hot 7 is powered by Android 8.1 Go-Edition, which is a lighter version of Android. Basically, it ensures smooth performance on low powered devices like this one.
After using it for a while, I noticed a slight lag once in a while, that’s mainly due to having only 1 GB of RAM. Don’t get me wrong; for this price, it’s totally fine.
How well does the Fingerprint Sensor and the Face-Unlock Work?
Well, we tried both of them. The fingerprint sensor does a decent job in unlocking the smartphone even when the screen is off. It isn’t as snappy as the high-end devices out there, you’d feel a very slight delay and then the screen would turn on; unlocked.
As for the Face-Unlock feature, it works and we appreciate Infinix for adding it to a smartphone at only PKR 14,999, but honestly, you cannot rely completely on that. It’s good that the feature is there, but, you’d ultimately turn it off eventually.
How Long Does the Battery of the Hot 7 Last?
It has low specs and doesn’t feature a Full HD Panel, so basically, the 4000 MAh battery will at least last for 2 days.
Gaming Performance:
While reviewing the unit, I knew that this smartphone isn’t meant to play games upon, at all! Since it has a low powered CPU and GPU and has only 1 GB of RAM. Still, I tried downloading and playing the Subway Surfers, classy right.
The game loaded fine, there was a noticeable lag while playing. It is playable though. If you wish to get this smartphone for gaming, then don’t! Trust me, for gaming, I would recommend extending your budget and getting a better phone like the Honor 8C or the Y7 Prime 2019, etc.
What You’ll Find in Box?
- The Smartphone Itself
- Power Adapter
- Micro-USB 2.0
- Handsfree
- And some documents
Final Verdict:
Okay, after using this device for a couple of days as a secondary phone, I noticed that it gets the job done! You’ll be able to use it for general activities like calling, texting, social media, email perfectly fine. If your budget is only PKR 15000, its hard to find a better, feature-packed smartphone like the Infinix Hot 7 currently available in the market.
