Huawei Nova 3 Display & Design:
We have a 6.3-inch display and use this a notch what’s just wider than the notch we see on the p20. It is understandable considering that it houses a 24 megapixel and 2-megapixel front cameras sensor and the earpiece with LED flash. Check out its pictures in Huawei Nova 3 Review.
The hybrid SIM trace is placed on the left while the metallic volume and power lock buttons are on the right with its clicky and easy reach. The top side has a secondary microphone well down below are the 3.5mm audio port, the main microphone-loudspeaker, and micro USB port which can be a downer for some who are expecting a USB type-c port.
On the back we have dual rear cameras, the LED flash and the fingerprint scanner also found. Here as labeling similar to what while we did for the p20 from here. You will also notice its gradient colors blue and purple which Huawei calls the iris purple as expected. Check out its pictures in Huawei Nova 3 Review.
The Huawei Nova 3 feels nice in the hands and provides that unique body feels like a glass. Nova 3 is equipped with a 6.3-inch full view display 2.0 with full HD plus resolution or equal to 490P. It has a 19:5:9 aspect ratio and boasts an 81% screen to body ratio in the settings. There’s an option to lower the resolution to HD plus or switch on the smart resolution to help save power. Check out its pictures in Huawei Nova 3 Review.
There’s also an option to adjust color modes from normal to vivid as well as color temperature from default to warm to cold. In addition to that their split-screen support and you can also hide the knotch if you’re not fond of it. So far we like the quality of the display as images and texts are sharp where the colors are punching viewing angles are great without showing any signs of color shifting. These are good indicators that can provide a good viewing experience whether you’re browsing watching videos or playing the game. Check out its pictures in Huawei Nova 3 Review.
Huawei Nova 3 Camera:
This device has quad cameras so it has both rear and front cameras having dual camera setup. Nova 3 is a flagship device under the Nova series and this device will compete with the One plus 6 and other smartphones in this price segment. The Nova 3 is one of those smartphones which comes with both the rear camera and front camera having AI mode so AI is enabled both for the rear and the front camera.
It comes with 16-megapixel primary camera F/1.8 aperture and a secondary 24-megapixel monochrome sensor again F/1.8 aperture and this has LED flash as well. Let’s go straight into the camera interface, if you just swipe from here you cannot see a lot of modes you can see aperture, portrait mode, photo, video Airlines, and other modes are also included like a light painting HDR mode at night mode slow motion is included.
At night mode slow motion is included and you can also download additional modes as well if you go to the settings you can see that the resolution maximum is 24 and you can even go to the 16-megapixel shooter as well.
I will have a look at the video recording as well so this video this phone can record videos in Ultra HD and a full HD 1080p resolution at 18.7 aspect ratio then Full HD at 60fps and Full HD at 30fps is included. There is no electronic image civilization or optical image stabilization offered so that’s the camera interface then you also have portrait mode and approach’ mode which are self-explanatory.
So, these are the samples we have taken in daylight conditions and the camera samples came out quite well. AI is a bit aggressive in terms of the kind of saturation and at times it gets you oversaturated images especially when you’re shooting a lot of greenery in the image here again you can see that the Greens have turned oversaturated. Turning off the AI mode gets you the best experience in daylight conditions and we feel you should also be trying out with the AI and disabled because AI tends to be over aggressive in terms of the color reproduction. Check out its pictures in Huawei Nova 3 Review.
Now looking at the close-up images so this one area where the Nova 3 impressed us a lot of great sharpness levels good colors and overall clarity of the photos looks really good so the pros of images turned out to be really good. Check out its pictures in Huawei Nova 3 Review.
Huawei Nova 3 Processor:
Huawei Nova 3 is the best one in performance section also because it has 2.4GHz octa-core processor with Hisilicon Kirin 970 chipset. This chipset is the best one in networking, connectivity, and gaming among all its competitors. One more best point of this handset is the RAM section which is 6GB RAM. We have tested the device and it has performed excellently in multi-tasking.
Huawei Nova 3 Battery:
Huawei Nova 3 has a fixed battery of Li-ion 3750 mAh, the satisfactory battery. It would have been much better if they provide 4000 mAh battery because it has 6GB RAM with an octa-core processor. It will resume more energy than any other smartphone. Excessive usage of the camera and cellular services can drain the battery very rapidly.
Our Verdict:
The Huawei Nova 3 is likely the most stylish smartphone with a full-screen display and notch display which looks compulsory in all 2018 smartphones. It has good battery timings with good camera results, only the price is a little high. It would have been much better if the price is around 45k, let’s wait and watch for the customer response.
