QMobile has launched another member of S6 family after the great success of QMobile S6. This time QMobile has revealed another new model “QMobile Noir S6S”. Price of QMobile Noir S6S is PKR 11650/-. Let’s look at QMobile Noir S6S review in detail.

QMobile Noir S6S is 3G enabled smartphone with 5 inches HD IPS display. The supportive resolutions are 720 pixels while the system has 1.3 GHz Quad-Core Processor. It has 16 GB ROM while the RAM is 2 GB moreover the camera has 8MP back camera lens and 5MP front camera lens. The power house has removable 2200 mAh battery and it is running android v6.0 (Marshmallow).

Display of QMobile Noir S6S:

QMobile is offering 5-inch HD IPS Display for Noir S6S with the resolution of 720 x 1280 px. The display is comparatively sharp and vibrant; the color looks more saturated that gives catchy feel to eyes. being a mid-ranger, picking HD IPS display is good decision from QMobile. The thick black bezel looks ugly; I don’t know why QMobile putting these ugly bezels around the display.

the screen is properly bright that can be easily be read in sunlight, while the ambient sensor helps to adjust brightness automatically.

Design of QMobile Noir S6S:

QMobile Noir S6S comes with 5-inch display as mentioned earlier, while the body frame measures 145 x 72 x 9 mm and over all plastic build. With that screen-to-body is almost 65.86% but this could be handier if those bezels were not there around display. Noir S6S weighs 151 grams that is easy to carry in hands yet the battery is just 2200mAh which makes it a bit heavy for the given battery capacity.

As for as the design is concerned, the upper front has earpiece at center, 5MP selfie shooter on left while couple of sensor are present on right of top. The bottom has nothing to carry.

Talking about the Noir S6S, audio jack is at top edge and microUSB port at bottom, however the power button and volume rocker are placed at right side.

Now flip the phone upside down, a lot of stuff has been placed at back side, three bumps for rear camera, LED flash and fingerprint scanner respectively. The QMobile glossy Logo can also be seen on the back. Well, the back cover is removable and plastic build. the speaker has also been placed at back side. The left and right sides are slightly curved that helps to give firm grip in hands.

Memory for QMobile Noir S6S:

QMobile noir is provided with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM, well it’s pretty standard combination for mid-range devices. Noir S6S has separate slot for microSD card that supports upto 32GB for sure. As Noir S6S comes with 2GB device so the multitasking upto 2 to 3 apps would be smooth.

Camera within QMobile Noir S6S:

In camera section, QMobile Noir S6S provides 8MP rear camera on back, while on the front we have 5MP selfies shooter. Both cameras have decent performance in term of image quality.

The camera app has plenty of option to offer, QMobile Noir S6s camera is providing different feature that other brands don’t offer in low priced phones. It user experience is good and interactive; you can easily get to pre-defined by single tap.

The layout of Application is simply and easy to use, you can find different tabs before capture button which allow you easily switch between the modes. However, getting into the settings you have to first go to modes interface.

Rear Camera of QMobile Noir S6S:

Well, Noir S6S has 8MP lens on back with single LED flash. the image quality is good well not top of list but manageable. the focus tweak is not that much fast to lock the object quickly but still acceptable for given price range. the object tracking mechanism can be activated by long press over the object. The image quality is yet good and admirable that comes with resolution of 3,264 x 2,448 px, with that 8MP camera can make 1080p FHD video.

The available modes for rear camera are Panorama, HDR, Exposure, HD, SmileShot, VoiceCapture, Face beauty and Professional for Pro.

Front Camera of QMobile Noir S6S:

As we have discussed, QMobile Noir S6s is provided with 5MP front camera, so as for as image quality concerned, it’s good and impressive in its segment. Well, the picture has some noise but softness is all there. The HDR can also be used for front camera, with that you can make HD 720p video too.

The available mode for front camera are HDR, Exposure, HD, SmileShot and VoiceCapture.

Connectivity of QMobile Noir S6S:

QMobile Noir is 3G enabled smartphone as the processor employed supports only 3G network, well it supports all the bands in Pakistan. For local connectivity, Qmobile Noir S6S using Wi-Fi b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0.

Physically connectivity includes microUSB port 2.0 for data tranfering and 3.5mm audio jack for headphones. Let me tell you, Qmobile Noir S6S has no like OTG etc.

Battery Performance of QMobile Noir S6S:

The smartphone consist of removable li-ion battery of 2200 mAh that is present inside the back cover. 1A charger is present for the battery moreover it will completely charge the device in more than 2 hours and battery will provide stand by time of 6-7 hours. Excessive use of 3G will drain the battery very quickly.

Interface of QMobile Noir S6S:

QMobile noir s6s is running on android v6.0 (Marshmallow). The user interface same as other phones from Qmobile, however the wallpapers on lockscreen are interesting and attractive.

You will some bloatware in Aplication drawer like Gameloft, Skype, Whatsapp, Facebook.

For controlling the fingerprint scanner, an app called fingerprint has been installed manage different operation like you answer the call, capture images, and dismiss alarm. Another interesting feature is Applock. The last key feature will drop your jaws, by swiping fingers on the scanner in four direction can open different pre-set apps.

Processor of QMobile Noir S6S:

QMobile has employed MediaTek MT6580 chipset for Noir S6S. its Quad-core with clock speed of 1.3GHz. The MT6580 is kind of first choice from QMobile because almost every mid-range phone in price range of 10K to 15K is packed with same chipset. Let me mention one important aspect, this processor has only support for 3G connectivity, that why many of 3G phones using this chipset due to efficient performance.

Speaking about the GPU of QMobile Noir s6s, its Mali-400MP, a bit outdated but still can manage graphics effortlessly.

Antutu Benchmark Score:

Qmobile Noir S6S performed very well with MT6580 in In Antutu benchmarking. It manages to get 24837 points which meet the expected score from mid-range chipset.

Vellamo Benchmark Score:

In vellamo benchmarking, QMobile Noir S6S has shown positive attitude regarding performance, with 1.3GHz core of each core; it attained 814 point in single core test. However, in multi-core test, Noir S6S got 1133, which a bit less than the expected score. The browser test score was 1692, well pretty much responsive.

This is a most difficult part for me to give my final verdict, but being a review writer I have to give unbiased view about phone. OK, I will suggest QMobile Noir S6S to those youngsters who don’t want have much to spend on smartphone, its budgetary phone with all features like decent camera set, Fingerprint scanner, 3G connectivity, and HD IPS display that one usually wish to have in Smartphone. It can easily run all social networking App like WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter etc. QMobile noir S6S is cost PKR.11650/- in Pakistan.
