Qualcomm has scheduled its Snapdragon Night event in China on May 20th. It has confirmed that the company will unveil the new Snapdragon Mobile Platform at the event, which should be the most expected Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, months after it introduced the Snapdragon 778G+.

The company is also expected to introduce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+, a minor upgrade to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 at the event. Qualcomm’s President and CEO, Cristiano Amon, said that the Snapdragon Night on May 20th will be another big day for the Snapdragon Insiders.

Snapdragon 7 Gen 1

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is expected to feature 4 x A710 cores clocked at 2.36GHz and 4 x A510 core clocked at 1.8GHz and use Adreno 662 GPU.

The OPPO Reno8 that will be introduced on May 23rd should be one of the first phones to be powered by the chip.
